Dear EU Dixi Family,
We’re happy to let you know that as of July 2025, we are now using the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) system for EU deliveries!
This means your shopping experience with us should now be smoother and more transparent, with no surprise customs charges on most orders. Please take a moment to read the updated info below so you know what to expect when ordering from the EU.
EU Countries we are now able to ship to are:
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to the following countries:
🇮🇹 Italy - Requires a Finess stamp, and we've had repeated delivery issues.
🇵🇹 Portugal - Requires a Finess stamp; delivery issues from items being pulled, even when within allowed weight limits.
🇺🇦 Ukraine - Requires a Finess stamp for delivery.
🇬🇧 Northern Ireland - Shipping involves UKIMS, an additional customs step we’re not currently set up for.
🇪🇸 Spain - Local waste disposal rules and taxes currently make shipping unworkable.
What is IOSS & How It Affects You
If your order is under €150 (approx. £120):
-
VAT is collected at checkout (based on your country’s rate)
-
Your parcel will clear EU customs without additional VAT or import charges
-
No need to pay fees to your local delivery or customs agents
- Just a heads-up in some countries, there may still be a small handling fee of a few euros. From our test shipments, it seems to happen randomly, so unfortunately we can’t predict when it might apply
We take care of all VAT reporting on our end through IOSS; you don’t need to do anything extra.
Order Limit for EU Customers
To keep everything smooth and IOSS-compliant:
-
We only accept EU orders under £120
-
Orders over £120 will not be processed or shipped
- We have a cart blocker in place that will warn you if your order is over the accepted value, and you will not be able to place your order.
-
If you’d like to order more, simply place multiple separate orders below the limit
This helps us avoid unexpected customs issues and keeps things simple for you!
Shipping & Customs
-
All parcels are shipped via International Mail, with a customs declaration stating the item description and value (as required by law).
-
Once the parcel arrives in your country, it will be cleared quickly — most deliveries process through customs in 1–2 business days.
-
If your order is held for any reason, your local delivery service will contact you with any next steps.
Returning Goods
If you return goods to us, please follow the instructions in your country. For parcels returned to us by international mail, you will need to complete a customs declaration (form CN22 or CN23) which should be fixed to the package; this will need to include information of the goods and the price – please use the information that was on the CN22 or CN23 when you received the goods.
Charged by Mistake? Here’s What to Do
We use the IOSS system to make sure VAT is collected at checkout, meaning you shouldn’t be charged again when your parcel arrives. However, on rare occasions, your local delivery service may incorrectly request a customs/VAT payment due to a processing error.
Don’t pay the charge - here’s what to do:
-
Let your delivery company know that VAT was already paid via IOSS.
You can quote: "This order was shipped under the IOSS scheme. VAT has already been paid at the point of sale." -
If the postal service advises they need our IOSS number, ask them to contact us directly at customerservice@shopdixi.com.
-
If the parcel is being held, ask them to release it under IOSS rules and confirm that VAT has already been settled.
